the algodon collection In addition to the regular 100% blue cotton ma'ong (denim), and the mare (the Art Nouveau styled pattern), patemm & company, in collaboration with California textile designer Harmony Susalla of HarmonyArt®, offers the kinaban (pronounced keenah-ban), meaning "world/earth" in Tagalog, and the buhayin (pronounced bo-hi-yan), meaning "to give life" in Tagalog. The kinaban is an organic, 233- thread-count cotton sateen that is woven in India and printed in the USA. The buhayin is an organic-cotton printed twill grown, woven, and printed in the USA. Both prints use fiber reactive low-impact inks and dyes, which are more gentle on the environment. The ma'ong (denim), the mare, kinaban, and the buhayin are all machine-washable. patemm® pads in the algodon collection should be washed in cold water, use no bleach, and tumble dry in low heat, remove promptly, or hang dry. Please also note that patemm’s signature custom chocolate brown trim will be used with this collection. |
